This taco house is the best in the lower budget Mexican restaurant category. This was the second Tippy's I had discovered in the DC area. As the first and my original Tippy's has closed its doors for good. I had thought this jem of a eating experience was lost to me forever but finding this location was a blessing and the food was the exact same as the/my original Tippy's was.

Miss having a Tippy's Taco House near me in the DC and Montgomery Cty areas!! Had to stop and grab lunch to go as I was passing by this Alexandria location!! Love their food, especially the enchiladas with refried beans and rice!!

So not kidding here. Indian owned AND THE beans and rice are some of the best I've had. The menu is pretty straightforward and the owner is curt, but if he keeps the food tasting like this it's all good. It's not like a true Mexican restaurant, but this place is legit.

Delicious food, none of that gimmicky crap you get at other "taco" spots, throwback decor that's nice to see these days. Service is quick for a mom & pop spot and the food is always tasty!

This is the BEST Mexican food in the northern Virginia area hands down. The food is high quality and the team working is always welcoming and go above and beyond to creating a great atmosphere. The service is quick, friendly, and the food is just absolutely amazing. I have tried almost everything on the menu at this point and everything is great but I highly recommend the enchiladas, queso, and tacos.
